1975

It was 1975
We were Young and so Alive
Working at the Church Bazaar
You were standing in the corner
Watching me from afar
It was 1975
You took a dare and then you arrived
At the betting both where I was stationed
You started a conversation
And that's how it all began, in the summer of '75
Wearing a halter top with no bra
You caught my attention
Your beauty was so raw
You took me to a new dimension
It was 1975
In my Chevy with my tape drive
The lamp post light was shot
And it was dark in that parking lot
But I'd put a sign if I could, on that spot
It was 1975
We would soon learn to survive
We shared many nights of passion
I barely learned to tie my shoe strings
But we confused sex with compassion
Wearing a halter top with no bra
You caught my attention
Your beauty was so raw
You took me to a new dimension
It was 1976
Son of Sam knew the power of politics
The Mayor said he had to be stopped
It was the bicentennial but he killed six
And Our City.....was in shock
It was the summer of 76
Sam's son was up to his tricks
Dot 44 caliber gun
Voices in his brain would transfix
But in Jail he turned to the Crucifix
In my house boat we would stay
Far away from danger of the day
Fire Island was so far away
And we made love by the bay
Then came 1977
The cops finally caught Berkowitz
The man who caused the City fits
You left me for another fair
And so it ended, on that day, on that day
Hey yay e yay e yay
Wearing a halter top with no bra
You caught my attention
Your beauty was so raw
You took me to a new dimension
You took me to a new dimension.

Birds Disappearing from the Sky
Birds Disappearing from the Sky
3 Billion Birds lost over time
3 Billion Birds lost over time
Birds Can’t Fight Climate Change
No, Birds’ Can’t Fight Climate Change
Birds Can’t Fight Climate Change
But we can, yes we can
Do you remember the cardinal’s red
Do you remember the Jay’s blue
What will you do when they’re all dead
Do nothing and that will be true
Birds Can’t Fight Climate Change
No, Birds’ Can’t Fight Climate Change
Birds Can’t Fight Climate Change
But we can, yes we can
Do you remember the robin’s egg
What will you do when they’re all gone
Do you remember the sparrow’s wings
That’s a thought we should all dwell on
Birds Can’t Fight Climate Change
No, Birds’ Can’t Fight Climate Change
Birds Can’t Fight Climate Change
But we can, yes we can
Birds Disappearing from the Sky
Birds Disappearing from the Sky
3 Billion Birds lost over time
3 Billion Birds lost over time
3 Billion Birds lost over time
3 Billion Birds lost over time

Paper Pusher
03:53
|
|||
My desk is a mess, can’t find a damn thing
Ordered more paper on an shoe string
Budget pushing debt that I can’t Keep
Yeah I’m just pushing paper and it’s not cheep
I’m a paper pusher yes what I am
Paper Pusher I’ll do what I can
Paper Pusher it’s better with pills
Paper cuts and then the blood spills
BREAK:
Sitting on my chair with a cup of joe
Eating my banana with yogurt slow
Looking at the pile with my stubbed toe
Knowing what I know relieves the blow
I’m a paper pusher yes what I am
Paper Pusher I’ll do what I can
Paper Pusher it’s better with pills
Paper cuts and then the blood spills
INSTRUMENTAL BREAK:
The clock ticks slow like a snail on speed
Racing round the circle like a piece of cheese
I get up off my chair to go to the john
I get back to my chair and give it a yawn
No don’t you think I’m lazy
And I don’t give a damn
I’ve killed so many trees
I’m a vicious man (PAUSE). “YEAH”
INSTRUMENTAL BREAK:
I’m a paper pusher yes what I am
Paper Pusher I’ll do what I can
Paper Pusher it’s better with pills
Paper cuts and then the blood spills
I’m a paper pusher yes what I am
Paper Pusher I’ll do what I can
Paper Pusher it’s better with pills
Paper cuts and then the blood spills

The Giant Monkey Chief
07:08
|
|||
A Giant Monkey Chief once ruled over monkeys in the Himalaya mountains..
They lived by the River Ganges before the valley where cities were built.
There by their homeland stood a magnificent tree like no other.
In the spring it bore tender white blossoms which later turned to fruit.
The fruit was so wonderful that none could be compared with it.
How happy the Monkeys were! They ate the fruit and lived in the wonderful tree.
But on one side of the tree its branches spread over the river.
The Monkeys quickly ate the fruit on the branches that lay over the water.
For they knew that if the fruit fell into the river and went downstream,
It would carry to the City where man may search for the tree.
The day came when one escaped into the river and floated downstream.
Down in the valley, the King and his men were bathing in the river.
One of the men noticed the fruit floating amongst the tall reeds.
Wonderful, said the man! Where on earth grows a fruit such as this?
He showed it to the King who marvelled at its beauty.
It’s a mango like no other I have ever seen, said the KIng.
He and the men ate the fruit and were overjoyed with its taste.
We must find the tree which bore this fruit, and so the journey began.
In search of the fruit so divine, it could never be compared to another.
In a boat they journeyed up the river Ganges to find the majestic tree.
BREAK:
After several days and nights, they came upon the tree with its golden fruit.
But what is in the trees exclaimed the KIng? Thousands of Monkeys said the men.
They guard the tree and its branches filled with fruit. This will not be an easy task.
At dawn we will shoot the monkeys and eat their meat and the fruit!
So was the plan of action that the KIng and his men set forth.
BREAK:
But one of the monkeys heard the plan and told the Giant Monkey Chief.
The Giant Monkey knew he must come up with a way to save his followers.
The nearest tree was across the river Ganges too far for the monkeys to swim.
But the Giant Monkey leaped across the river to the other tree.
He grabbed a reed that he thought would reach and jumped back across.
But the reed was a bit short, he had to stretch his limbs to create the bridge.
He ordered the monkeys to jump on his back and follow the reed to the other side.
But one monkey jumped a bit too hard on the Giant Monkey Chief and broke his back.
The Giant Monkey Chief held on until all of the monkeys were across the river.
He was in pain and could barely move. But the monkeys safely reached the other side.
BREAK:
The King noticed the Giant Monkey’s bravery and tears streamed from his eyes.
He ordered his men to carry the Giant Monkey down from the tree.
The King comforted the ailing Giant Monkey and sat by his side and spoke to him.
You made a bridge with your body for others to cross,
Did you not know you put your life at risk?
You have given your life to save your followers.
Who are you, blessed one?
BREAK:
The Giant Monkey Chief looked at the King and replied:
I am their Chief and their guide. They lived with me in this tree, and I was their father.
And if my death is a lesson to you then I am more than happy.
It is not the sword which makes you King, it is love alone.
And those were the last words and he closed his eyes and died.
Love alone is what makes you King. Repeat 4x fade

Don't You Worry Dear
03:14
|
|||
Don’t you worry Dear
It’s easy to say
Can’t promise what’ll happen next
But we will find our way
So, Don’t You Worry Dear
Don’t You Worry Dear
You and I in isolation
Has its challenges for sure
We must all stay calm
For it’s peace we’ll endure
You and I in isolation
In isolation
• Habitat in a strange facade
• Habitat in an incurable globe
• Habitat in our little pod
• Habitat in our temporal lobe
Break:
So lay low with me buy your side
You and I this storm we will ride
Do we really want a nasal probe?
I’d rather stay home in my robe.
Don’t you worry Dear
It’s easy to say
Can’t promise what will happen next
But we will find our way
So, Don’t You Worry Dear
Don’t You Worry Dear
